Her speciality and passion is illustration, and she has been commissioned to produce work for exhibitions, commercial advertisements, social media, book covers, magazines and much more. She has had the opportunity to work with businesses, museums, art galleries and charities throughout the UK.
She comes from a Fine Arts background, which gives her illustration style a unique approach. Her style is bold and graphic, involving frequent use of typography, and portraiture throughout. She adapts appropriately depending on the context of the project she is working on at any given time. She enjoys giving her work a slightly satire approach, using current cultural and political topics.
Edie-Mea’s personal projects frequently involve the use of her chronic illness, Type one diabetes. Her art practice began to refine itself in 2017, when she began expressing her feelings towards her disabilities using the freedom of art as an outlet.
